CheckLog

Terms of service

Last updated 26 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between CheckLog and you, the coach. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not use CheckLog.

Your clients are not party to this agreement. What you promise them is governed by the waiver you write and they acknowledge inside CheckLog, which is yours and not ours.

What CheckLog does

CheckLog collects check-ins from your clients on a schedule you set — their weight, progress photographs, notes and activity — and shows you the history. It does not build training programmes, does not track food, and does not process payments between you and your clients.

Your account

Your clients' data — your responsibility

This is the part that matters most. When you invite a client, you are asking them to hand over photographs of their body, their date of birth and their weight. In data-protection terms you decide what is collected and why; CheckLog holds it on your instructions.

That means you are responsible for:

Plans and payment

Refunds

If CheckLog is not what you expected, email within 14 days of a charge and we will refund it. Beyond that, cancel any time to stop future charges; we do not refund partly used periods.

What you may not do

Availability

CheckLog is provided as it is. We do not promise it will never be unavailable. We will not deliberately delete your data without warning, and if we ever shut the service down we will give at least 30 days' notice and a way to export everything.

Not medical advice

CheckLog is a record-keeping tool. Nothing it shows is medical advice, and it makes no judgement about whether any weight, target or programme is appropriate for anyone. That is between you and your client.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account from your settings page at any time. Doing so permanently erases every client under it, along with their photographs and sign-ins. It cannot be undone.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, particularly where someone else's personal data is at risk. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will warn you first.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, CheckLog's total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or lost business. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.

Where you may use CheckLog

CheckLog is offered in the United States only. Do not invite clients who live in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area — their privacy laws place obligations on us that CheckLog is not set up to meet, and inviting them puts you in breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota.
